Sapada baksha recipe I Banana semolina pudding recipe

Sapada baksha is a banana semolina pudding which is prepared as prasad for Sathyanarayana puja. It is a delicious and nutritious sweet recipe, which is prepared with ripe bananas, semolina, milk, and ghee, taste irresistible in taste. It is a very easy to make sweet dish in a short time and a healthy sweet dish for all ages.
Preparation time – 10 min
Cooking time – 15 min
Serves – 4
Ingredients –
Fine rava/ fine quality semolina – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Ghee – 1 cup
Ripe banana – 4-5 no’s
Milk – 500 ml (boiled and cooled)
Ghee roasted cashew nuts and raisins (optional)
Method –
To make or to prepare Sapada bhaksha –
Heat a pan by adding 2 tbs of ghee in it, when it is hot add semolina into it and fry until it turns to light brown. (Take care not to burn, always cook in a medium flame)
Remove it from the flame and set aside.
Mash ripe banana to a smooth paste and keep ready.
Heat milk in the same pan, bring it to boil, add sugar in it, stir. When sugar dissolves fully add roasted semolina into it slowly by stirring as there should not be any lumps in it, stir
Make a low flame, close the lid for 3-4 min
Add mashed banana and ghee into it and combine properly in a low flame.
Close the lid for 3-4 min and cook in a low flame.
The whole mixture starts comes together the like a lump,(ghee starts to leave edges of the pan) that is when it is done so you can switch off the flame. You can add ghee roasted chashewnuts and raisins which is optional.
Healthy and tasty Sapada baksha, Banana semolina pudding is ready to offer God. Making this sweet offering it to the Supreme and then eating, puts each and everyone happy 🙂
Note –
This recipe needs no artificial colour or extra flavor like cardamom powder or nut mug powder, as it has a natural flavor of banana and ghee.
Rasa bale is always preferred to prepare sapada, if not you can prepare it with chikke bale or with any quality of banana of your choice, but it should be ripe.
