Easy chicken curry recipe

A delicious and authentic quick Indian one-pot packed with simple spices and fragrant coriander.Delicious recipe it made a really really tasty curry, easy method to follow. Just try and enjoy as a side dish for roti/rice.

Preparation time – 10 min

Cooking time – 20 min

Serves – 4

Ingredients –

Chicken pieces – 1 kg

Onion – 2 no’s chopped

Tomato – 1 medium chopped

Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbs

Green chilies – 2 no slit into two pieces

Coriander powder – 2 tsp

Chilly powder – 1 tsp

Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp

Garam masala powder – 1 tsp

Pepper powder – 1 1/2 tsp

Coriander leaves – 1 bunch chopped

Salt to taste

Oil to fry.

Procedure – 

Heat a kadai by adding oil in it , when it is hot add green chilies,chopped onion and fry till onion turns to translucent

Add ginger garlic paste and stir fry till raw smell evaporates from it.

Add cleaned and drained chicken pieces into it and mix altogether for a while

Add all spice powder ( except pepper powder ) and salt to taste.Mix altogether close the lid of the kadai for 2 min.

Add 1/2 cup of water and cook in a low flame by closing the lid of the kadai till the chicken is cooked/done.

When chicken is cooked/done add pepper powder, mix  bring the curry to a thick consistency.

Finally add chopped coriander leaves ,once again mix altogether and remove from the flame.

Easy chicken curry is ready to be served with roti/rice.

Tips – If you cook in a pressure pan pressure cook for 1 whistle .

You can prepare this curry as per your consistency ,if you need a grayish curry add little more water./If you want a thick curry as a side dish for biryani , bring the curry to boil till (chicken absorbs) thick consistency.
