Suvarnagadde Fry or elephant yam fry recipe

Suvarnagadde/Elephant yam fry is simple and tasty side dish,can be prepared with less ingredients in a short time. Health Benefits of Yams – Vegetables are high in nutrients, very beneficial for all age groups.

Serves – 4
Ingredients –
Suvarnagadde/elephant yam – 500 gm
Chili powder – 1tbs
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil to fry.
How to prepare suvarna gadde curry/elephant yam fry –
Cut suvarnagadde/yam into small flat slices and cook in water till it is done and drain out the water and keep aside.(add little salt while cooking).
Mix chilly powder,turmeric powder and salt to taste in a cup (without adding water)
Apply it on cooked yam pieces mix altogether properly.
Heat 2 tbs of oil in a kadai,when oil is hot add prepared yam pieces into it and fry till golden brown in colour in a medium flame.
Transfer the dish into a serving dish and enjoy as a side dish with rice/roti.
