Silver fish curry

Silver fish curry is a tasty south Indian curry, a coconut based curry made with aromatic spices, which taste delicious when served with rice, a simple and easy recipe made with silver fish (Bolanjir), Silver fish are the fish to convert someone to eating fish, which has no fishy taste or smell. Young or old will love it.
Ingredients:
Silver fish – 500 gm cleaned
Onion – 1/2 cup chopped
Coconut oil – 1 tbs
Salt
To grind –
Coconut – 1 cup grated/ chopped roughly
Coriander – 1 tsp
Cumin – 1/4 tsp
Methi – less than 1/4 tsp
Dry chilies – 5 no’s (adjust to your taste)
Garlic – 4 pods
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Tamarind – marble size ball
Onion – 1/2 part of a medium onion

Method:
Clean silver fish (Bolanjir meen) and keep aside.
Add little coconut oil in a tadka pan, when it is hot fry methi, cumin, coriander and chilies one by one separately to light brown and keep ready.
Add roasted ingredients with coconut, turmeric, garlic, tamarind, chopped onion, blend it with out adding water until all the ingredients gets powdered, then add enough water to grind and make a smooth paste and keep ready.
Add blended paste to a pan /vessel, add salt to taste, add water to a medium thick in consistency/curry consistency. Bring it to good boil for 5 to 6 min, once done add cleaned fish, cook for 3 to 4 min, switch of the flame,
Heat oil in a tadka pan, when it is hot, fry onion until golden brown in coconut oil, add it to prepared curry, stir gently, close the lid, rest it for 10 min before you serve.
Enjoy with rice.
