Proso millet dosa is an instant dosa recipe made with soaked proso millet and other healthy ingredients which make a spicy and yummy breakfast dish. Millet’s are the extremely good source of fiber and protein compared with white rice. Proso millet is a healthy grain and alternative to rice. Do include millet in your daily diet for more health benefits to stay healthy.

Ingredients:

Proso Millet – 2 cup

Onion – 1/2 onion

Green chilly – 2 no’s

Ginger – 1/2 inch

Cumin – 1/4 Tsp

Coriander – 1 small bunch

Salt to taste

Oil

 

Method:

Rinse proso millet, soak it for 10 hrs or over night. Next morning drain the water, add soaked millets to a blender add all the other ingredients with salt.

Blend it to a fine paste by adding enough water to blend.

Once done transfer the batter to a container, the consistency of the batter must a pouring consistency similar to Neer dosa batter consistency. Rest it for 15 min.

Heat a dosa pan, brush a little oil on it, once the pan is hot, pour a ladle of batter in a circular motion to a round shape dosa, no need to spread it with the ladle, the batter will spread naturally. Sprinkle oil on it. cook it for 2 min, close the lid.

Flip to cook the other side for 1 min,

Note –

In the same way, you can make with any kind of millet.
