Prawns Tawa Fry I Garlic Prawns

Prawns tawa fry/ Garlic prawns is a crispy and tasty appetizer. Marinated prawns is coated with grounded paste – made by blending cashew nut, garlic, onion and spices, then shallow fried until crisp, which makes a rich and tasty appetizer. Just try and enjoy as a yummy appetizer or as a side dish.
Ingredients:
Prawns – 500 gm
For marination –
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Lemon juice or vinegar – 1 tsp
Salt
To grind –
cashew nuts – 12 no’s
Garlic – 6 pods
Onion – 1 tbs chopped
Green chili’s – 3 no’s
Cinnamon – 1 small stick
Clove – 2 or 3 no’s
Other ingredients –
Rice flour – 2 tbs
Gram flour – 2 tbs
Curd – 2 tbs
Kasuri methi – 1 tsp
Salt
Oil/butter/ghee to shallow fry
Method:
Clean the prawns, marinate it by adding lemon juice, turmeric and salt for 4 to 5 hr in refrigerator.
Remove marinated prawns 30 min before preparing, allow it to cool, meanwhile add all the ingredients to grind in a mixer jar, grind it to a paste by adding enough water to grind, add the grounded paste to marinated prawns, add gram flour, rice flour, kasuri methi, curds and little salt to taste.
Mix well and keep ready. Heat oil/butter/ ghee of your choice in a pan to shallow fry, when it is hot,
Arrange each prawns as it must not touch each other, cook in a medium flame until the base turns golden brown, once done flip it to the other side and continue the same.
Once done remove from the flame and continue the same for the rest.
