Prawns rava tawa fry

Prawn Tawa fry is a starter that is marinated in flavorful spices and shallow fried. This is a quick and easy Prawns Fry recipe cooked on iron Tawa (pan) where marinated prawns are tossed in rava /semolina and shallow fried on a pan with little oil, which makes a crispy and yummy side dish for sambar rice/Biryani/to serve as a starter.
Ingredients:
Prawns – 250 gms
For marination –
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Chilly powder – 2 tsp
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Lemon juice/ vinegar – 1 tsp
Salt
Other ingredients –
Corn flour – 1 tbs
Rava/semolina – 1/4 cup
Method:
Clean the prawns, marinate it with ginger garlic paste, Chilly powder, Turmeric, lemon juice/ vinegar, Salt, toss it well, (no need to add water), keep for 4 to 5 hr in the refrigerator.
Remove the marinated prawns from the refrigerator before 30 mins before making. Add cornflour, toss the marinated prawns so that it gets coated evenly.
Add Rava/semolina in a plate, add 1 tsp of cornflour and a pinch of salt (optional), is it and keep ready,
Heat a shallow pan, add 1 tbs of oil in it, coat each prawn properly, arrange it on a plate or drop it in oil directly after coating in rava.
drop each prawn into it, fry until golden and crisp, it takes about 5 to 6 min to be done when cooked over a medium flame.
Once done, drain the excess oil with a slotted spoon, put it in a kitchen napkin to absorb excess oil in it. Continue the same for rest in one or two batches.
Serve hot and enjoy.
