Pineapple kesari bhath

Pineapple Kesari bhath is an easy, simple sweet recipe .The pineapple really adds a delicious flavor to this dish.Pineapple semolina pudding popular sweet dish in Karnataka,usually served with a combination with upma,which is popularly known as chow chow bhath. Semolina is cooked with ground pineapple and sugar to make a delicious sweet.

How to make pineapple kesari bhath
Ingredients –
Chiroti rawa/semolina – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Water – 2 cup
Pineapple – 3/4 cup cut into small pieces
Ghee – 2 1/2 tbs
Cashew nut – 1 1/2 tbs broken into small pieces
Cardamom – 2 no
Almond – 1 tsp chopped
Procedure –
Heat a kadai by adding 2 tsp of ghee in it in a medium flame,add cashew nuts fry till golden brown and keep aside.
In the same kadai add rawa/semolina,fry till it turns to light golden and set aside,in the same kadai add 2 cup of water and sugar,bring it to boil when sugar is completely dissolves in water add prepared rawa/semolina slowly by stirring so that there is any lumps.
Close the lid of the kadai,cook in a low flame.
Add pineapple pieces and a tea spoon of sugar in a mixer jar and make a paste.
Add prepared paste into the kadai mix properly close the lid for 2 or 3 min
Add ghee mix once again
Add roasted nuts,cardamom powder mix altogether and turn off the flame.
Transfer the dish to desired container,garnish with chopped almond,saffron.Serve hot and enjoy with vegetable upma.
Note – You can add raisins or any other dry fruits of your choice.
Add sugar as per your taste.
The colour of the dish depends upon the colour of pineapple,no need of adding artificial colour.
After preparing the dish transfer it to desired shaped bowl ,allow it to cool and place it on a plate .
