Pepper chicken dry recipe

Pepper chicken dry is one of the easiest chicken recipes. Pepper chicken dry is a dry curry, can be eaten as a starters or even served with any Indian bread.The taste of the chicken is really spicy and enjoyed by people who love the Indian taste and like hot and spicy. Black pepper is a great medicine to treat cold. It can be served as an appetizer or as a side dish for rice or roti’s.

Serves – 4
Ingredients –
Chicken – 750 gm
Onion – 2 medium finely chopped/sliced
Curry leaves – 4 springs
Green chilly – 2 chopped
Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 tsp
Chopped garlic – 12 cloves chopped
Pepper (whole) – 1 1/2 tbs
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander – 1 bunch chopped
Salt
Oil – 3 tbs
Procedure to make or to prepare Pepper chicken dry –
Clean and rinse chicken pieces twice or thrice in water, drain the water in it and set aside. Add chicken pieces, salt and turmeric powder in a pressure pan and cook till the water in the chicken evaporates fully, then add 1 cup on water and pressure cook for 1 or 2 whistles and turn off the flame, allow the pressure in the pan settle downs of its own. Remove the lid and drain the chicken with a colander and keep ready. (collect chicken stock and use it to prepare rasam or soup.)
Dry roast pepper till it becomes hot, remove from the flame and allow it to cool.
Crush the pepper to a coarse powder and keep ready.
Heat a pan by adding oil in it, when it is hot add chopped garlic and little ginger garlic paste, saute for a whle till you get a fresh aroma.
Add chopped onion, chopped garlic, curry leaves together and fry until onion get translucent.
Add half portion of prepared pepper powder and saute for a while, add little salt (we have already added salt to cook chicken so add i pinch of salt) mix properly.
Add cooked and drained chicken pieces into it and mix altogether , cook in a low flame for 5 to 6 min by closing the lid of the pan.
Add remaining half of prepared pepper powder into it and toss it. turn off the flame.
Sprinkle chopped coriander , transfer the dish to a serving plate.
Enjoy as an appetizer or as a side dish. serve hot with lemon wedges and sliced onions.
