Paya soup I Mutton soup I Lamb soup recipe

Mutton Paya soup has always been one of my favorites as it has all the health benefits and it is indeed a nourishing soup for kids, young ones as well as old ones. Mutton Paya Soup is made from the legs of a lamb or trotters, is one of the healthiest soups that you will ever have in your lifetime. A traditional recipe of soup made with lamb trotters with simple ingredients, Made with flavorful spices, it is truly a non-veg lover’s delight.
Benefits of having a soup of mutton or meat: Mutton Leg Soup is consumed for weak bones, calcium deficiency, bone pain, weakness … it is full of calcium and is hugely beneficial for joint pains. A lot of us are aware of the fact that mutton is high in proteins and it gives the body all the necessary proteins that help in bodybuilding. But the mutton soup that is made out of the bones and trotters that is the legs of a lamb is high in calcium and paya soup has the highest amount of calcium that one requires to strengthen our bones and strengthen our teeth and make the bones strong.
Ingredients:
Mutton legs/paya/lamb trotters – 500 gms
Onion – 1 chopped
Garlic – 1 tsp peeled and chopped
Ginger – 1 tsp peeled and chopped
Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder – 1/4 tsp
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
Coriander – 2 tbsp chopped
Pudina – 2 tbs chopped (optional)
Salt to taste

Method:
Rinse the pieces of Mutton legs/paya/lamb trotters, drain the water in it, and keep ready.
In a pressure cooker add the washed lamb legs, add salt, add ginger, garlic, onion, coriander, pudina (optional) coriander powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric, and pepper powder.
Add for about 3 or 4 glasses of water and pressure cook them on high flame for about 40-45 minutes, bring 8 or 10 whistles.
Now we will check if the meat is separated from the bone on pressing, then the legs are cooked. Now turn off the gas. Serve hot, garnish with chopped coriander leaves, sprinkle pepper powder (optional) while serving.
