Neer dosa recipe or how to prepare neera dosa

Neer dosa a dish made out of Rice, unique to the region of Dakshina Kannada.The word Neer means water so the dish named so as the batter is watery.very soft and thin dosa, one of the simple and easy to prepare, which matches with all vegetarian and nonvegetarian curries, chutney, jaggery mixed with grated coconut is one of an awesome combination for Neer dosa or  pickle of your choice.

Rice-2 cups

Coconut-2 tsp[grated]

Salt to taste

Oil to grease.

Method:

rinse and Soak Rice for at least 2 to 3 hours. Then drain the water.Take a mixer jar add rice and grated coconut and grind to make a fine batter.

Take a mixer jar add rice and grated coconut, blend it a fine batter by adding enough water to blend. Once done, add the batter to a vessel,

Add salt and more water if necessary. The batter consistency should be thicker than whole milk.

Heat a flat pan, grease/brush it with oil, pour a ladleful of batter from a little height so that you get a round shape, do not try to spread the batter with a spoon, it will spread naturally.

Cook covered for 1 min, once done, flip it to the other side, continue to cook for a min, fold it with a spatula,  continue the same for remaining batter.

Serve hot with coconut or any kind of curry of your choice.
