Mutton liver fry recipe

Mutton liver fry is a delicious side dish prepared ina traditional method to serve as a side dish for Dosas, idli /Rotis. It is easy to make a recipe with simple ingredients.

Ingredients:

Mutton liver – 500 gms chopped into medium pieces

Onion – 2 no’s chopped

Tomato – 1 or 2 chopped

Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbs

Coriander powder – 2 tsp

Chilly powder – 1 or 1 1/2 tsp

Turmeric – 1/2 tsp

Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp (optional)

Salt to taste

Oil – 2 tbs

Coriander for garnishing

Method:

Rinse mutton liver, drain the water in it with a colander, and keep ready.

Heat a cooker pan with oil, when it is hot fry onion until translucent, add ginger-garlic paste fry until you get a nice aroma,

Then add tomatoes, fry until it becomes soft. Add coriander, turmeric, garam masala, and chilly powders, saute for a minute.

Add mutton liver pieces, saute for a few minutes on a medium flame. Add salt to taste.

Add 1 cup of water and cook for 3 or 4 whistles.

once it is done/cooked, bring it to boil, boil until the water gets absorbed / to a gravy curry consistency. turn off the flame, add 1/2 tsp of pepper powder, garnish with chopped coriander.

Enjoy as a side dish for Rotis, Dosas, Idly /rice.
