Mutton curry recipe

Mutton curry or lamb curry is a yummy side dish, it is one of the most famous and popular recipe for all non veg lovers.Delicious, healthy and easy to make mutton recipe for any occasion a traditional south Indian recipe,a perfect side dish for roti,rice or Biryani ,it is a easy to make recipe with simple ingredients which taste delicious and flavorful when it is done.

Ingredients –
Lamb mutton – 1 kg
Onion – 2 medium (sliced into medium pieces)
Red chilies(byadagi chilies)- 12 no’s (less or more as per your taste)
Garlic – 1 whole medium sized (skin should be removed)
Ginger – 3 inches (cut into small pieces)
Cloves – 8 no
Cinnamon – 5 small pieces
Coconut – 1/2 cup
Coriander powder – 3 tbs
Poppy seeds – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil to fry
How to prepare or make mutton curry –
Wash and clean mutton,drain the water and keep aside
Heat a kadai, add 1 tbs of oil in it add Sliced onion,red chilies,ginger,garlic,cloves,cinnamon
Fry till it turns to light brown and allow it to cool
Take a pressure cooker pan ,add 1 tbs of oil in it ,when it becomes hot add 1/2 chopped onion fry till it turns to golden brown,
Add washed and drained mutton pieces,add salt to taste fry till the water of it evaporates fully,add 1 cup of water and pressure cook for 3 whistles and allow it to cool.
Mean while Take a mixer jar add Coconut ,Poppy seeds and fried ingredients and make a fine paste of it
Finally add coriander powder and grind once again and keep aside
Add the grounded paste to 3/4 cooked mutton and mix all together,add 1 cup of water and pressure cook for 2 or 3 whistles and allow it to cool.
Transfer the dish to the kadai and bring the curry to boil,mean while check the taste add salt if necessary ,boil the curry till the mutton is done and cooked ,boil the curry till it becomes thick.
Delicious mutton fry or mutton curry is ready to be served as a side dish for rice,roti or for Biryani.Serve hot
