Mixed dal dosa or quick dosa recipe

Mixed dal dosa is a combination of cereal and lentil which makes a crispy and tasty dosa which needs no fermentation,so it is one of a quick dosa recipe , a wholesome nutritiuos one dish meal for breakfast/dinner.It is prepared by soaking rice,moong dal,chana dal,tur dal , urad dal and poha,grinded together and dosa is prepared no need of fermentation,this dosa is served with chutney,alu baji or it goes good with sweet coconut chutney/coconut milk which is prepared by adding jaggery.
Soaking time – 8 hrs
Preparation time – 5 min/dosa
serves – 8
Ingredients –
Dosa rice – 2 cup
Urad dal – 1/2 cup
chana dal – 1/4 cup
Moong dal – 1/4 cup
Tur dal – 1/4 cup
Avalakki/poha – 1/4 cup
Salt to taste
Oil to fry.
Procedure –
Take a bowl soak rice,moong dal,channa dal and tur dal together
Soak urad dal in a seprate bowl
Soak thick avalakki./poha in a separate cup/bowl.
Soak for more than 3hr/overnight
Grind urad dal to a fine and fluffy paste by adding sufficient water ,grind all other ingredients together to a fine and fluffy paste ,add salt to taste
Mix all together the batter should be not too thin or too thick .
Take a flat tawa ,heat it take the batter in a spatula and pour in the center of the pan and spread gently to a round shape dosa,add oil/ghee all around it and wait till the dosa gets crisp,turns to golden brown in colour flip to the other side to cook
Remove the dosa from the tawa and serve hot with chutney,alu bajji/sweet coconut chutney
Quick and yummy mixed dal dosa is ready to be served.
