Methi chicken curry or how to prepare methi chicken curry

Methi chicken curry is absolutely a delicious recipe prepared with fresh methi leaves/fenugreek leaves, and other spices which can be served as a side dish for both roti/rice.It is a simple and easy to prepare chicken recipe with very less ingreidients,there are several health benefits by having methi/fenugreek leaves,it is rich in iron and vitamins.They have a strong aroma which gives a special flavour and taste with chicken.

Preparation time – 10 min

Cooking time – 20 min

Serves – 4

Ingredients –

Chicken – 1 kg

Onion – 3 medium chopped.

Methi  /fenugreek leaves – 1 bowl chopped

Coriander leaves – 1 bunch chopped

Mint leaves – 1 bunch chopped

Green chillies – 5 no;s cut into two pieces

Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbs

Coriander powder – 1 tsp

Chilly powder – 1/2 tsp

Coriander powder – 2 tsp

Garam masala powder – 1 tsp

Turmeric powder – 1 tsp

Salt to taste

Oil to fry

Procedure –

Take a kadai,heat it ,add oil in it when it is hot add green chillies,stir fry add chopped onions,saute for a while add ginger garlic paste fry till the raw smell disappears

Add chopped methi,mint and coriander leaves together and fry till it becomes soft and till you get a fresh aroma.

Add all dry powders as shown above ingredients.

Stir fry add chicken pieces mix altogether ,cook till water of the chicken evaporates,add 1 cup of water and close the lid of the kadai,cook in a medium flame.

Cook till chicken is done and water evaporates(until we get a thick gravy)

Healthy and delicious methi chicken curry  prepared with fresh methi leaves is ready to serve as a side dish for rice/roti.
