Chicken shawarma recipe or how to prepare chicken shawarma

Chicken shawarma recipe A popular arab dish prepared by grilling chicken strips, try this chicken Shawarma which can be easily prepared at home, a perfect dish for kids Lunch box, an easy recipe. Absolutely delicious, healthy, tasty and simple way to prepare at home. It is a tasty and yummy breakfast a kids friendly recipe.
Preparation time – 30 min
Cooking time – 10 to 15 min
Serves – 4 to 5 nos
Ingredients:
Wheat dough – To make roti’s
For shawarama –
Carrot – 2 nos (grated)
Bone less chicken – 250 gms
Cabbage – 1 cup (chopped )
Capsicum – 1 cup (chopped)
Onion – 1 no (chopped)
Egg – 1 no
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Mayonnaise – 1/2 cup
Curds / yogurt – 2 tsp optional
Oil – 1 tbs.
Procedure:
Cut the chicken into small pieces and pressure cook by adding salt and water for 2 whistle. Drain the water and keep it aside. Take a kadai, heat it by adding oil, when oil is hot add chopped onion saute till it turns translucent. Add ginger garlic paste saute until you get a fresh aroma.
Add an egg , stir fry until it get scrambled
add Garam masala powder.
Now add capsicum saute for a while.
Then add cooked chicken pieces, saute and combine
Add grated carrot and chopped cabbage mix properly.(not to cook carrot and cabbage) turn off the flame
Add pepper powder, allow it to cool for 10 min.
Then add yogurt and mayonnaise and mix properly and keep aside. (shawarma mixture is ready).
Take a small ball of wheat dough, roll into thin chapati place it on the hot tawa, make chapati on a by applying oil or dry as your wish. Once done transfer it on a plate,
Stuff shawarma mixture inside the roti, roll up, cut into half.
Serve hot,Delicious shawarma is ready to enjoy.
Enjoy with mayonnaise dip – Dry fry white sesame seeds until it splutters, remove from the flame, crush it coarsely, finely chop/grate 3 cloves of garlic, add 3 tbs of mayonnaise in a bowl, toss it well add salt to taste, serve as a dip with chicken shawarma.

It can be kept for 3 – 4 hours without adding yogurt or curds, just add mayonnaise with other ingredients.
