Green Leafy Curry I Kiriksali soppina palya

Nutritious and healthy side dish prepared using Green Leafy Vegetable, Kiriksali soppu/Keere soppu is a common green leafy vegetable around Mysore Bangalore region, which is a very tasty variety of green vegetable, a simple and a tasty side dish prepared to serve as a side dish for rice/ rotis.  

Ingredients:

Kiriksali soppu / Keere soppu – 2 Bunches

Mustard – 1/2 Tsp

Garlic – 6 or 7 pods peeled and Crushed

Dry Chilies – 2 no’s

Curry leaves – 1 spring

Onion – 2 no’s chopped

Coriander powder – 1 Tsp

Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp adjust to your taste

Salt to taste

Oil – 2 tbs

Method:

Clean and rinse leafy vegetable, chop it finely and keep ready. Keep all the other ingredients handy.

Heat a pan with oil in it, when it is hot add mustard allow it to sizzle, then add curry leaves, crushed garlic, and dry chilies. Fry until you get a nice aroma, add onion fry until it turns translucent.

Add coriander powder and chilly powder, stir fry for a while

Add rinsed and drained leafy vegetable into, toss it well. Cooked covered on a low flame until done, No need to add water, it gets cooked on a low flame for 4 to 5 min. Stir in between before it is done.

Nutritious, Buttery and Yummy Green leafy vegetable curry is ready to serve as a side dish for Roti/rice.
