Gobi Chicken CurryI Cauliflower Chicken Curry

Gobi chicken curry is a tasty side dish prepared with cauliflower, chicken and spices which makes a delicious chicken side dish to serve as a side dish for roti or rice. An easy to make recipe with simple ingredients, adding cauliflower with chicken make a unique taste and flavour to the dish, makes good combination with chicken, just try and enjoy as a side dish for rice or roti’s.
Ingredients:
Chicken – 750 gm
Cauliflower – chopped into medium florets – 2 cup
Onion – 2 no’s
Green chili – 2 or 3 no’s slit into 2 pieces
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1/4 tsp
Chilly powder – 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
Yogurt – 1/4 cup
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Coriander – 1 small bunch chopped
Salt
Oil

Method:
Chop cauliflower into medium florets, immerse in lukewarm water with little salt in it for 15 min. drain the water and keep aside.
Rinse chicken pieces in water for twice or trice, drain the water in it and keep ready.
Heat a pan by adding oil in it, when it is hot add chopped onion, green chilies, fry until onion turns to translucent, add ginger garlic paste fry until you get a fresh aroma.
Add dry spices, fry until the raw smell evaporates in a medium flame.
Add yogurt and salt , fry until oil separates from the edges,
Add chicken, mix with the curry, fry until water in the chicken evaporates, then add 1/2 cup of water to cook, close the lid and cook in a medium flame.
Ensure the chicken is almost done, add cauliflower florets into it, mix with the chicken, cook until done, bring the curry to thick in consistency.
Once done, remove from the flame, add fresh lemon juice and chopped coriander, mix with the curry.
Serve hot as a side dish for rice or roti’s.
Note –
You can also add chopped tomato in preparation which is optional.
