Dapati I Masala roti with mixed flours I Thalipeeth Recipe

Dapati is a very unique and tasty Paratha variety made with – wheat flour, jowar flour and besan flour with crushed garlic, chopped onion, and other simple spices which is very easy to make and tasty to taste. A traditional Maharashtrian recipe With three types of flours, also called Thalipeeth which is very nutritious and delicious parathas. Do try and enjoy a healthy breakfast or at any time of the day.
Ingredients:
Wheat flour – 1 cup
Jowar flour – 1 cup
Gram flour – 1/4 cup
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Garlic – 6 or 7 pods peeled and crushed
Coriander – a small bunch chopped
Ajwain – 1/4 Tsp
Green Chilli – 2 chopped
Chilly powder – 1 tsp adjust to your taste
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil
For topping –
Sesame – 1 tbs
Coriander – 1 tbs chopped
Butter/ghee

Method:
Add wheat flour, jowar flour, gram flour, chopped onion, coriander, chilies, crushed garlic, ajwain, turmeric, chilly powder, salt in a bowl toss it well, knead it to a dough similar to chapathi dough. Keep covered for 15 mins with a wet cotton cloth.
Take a butter sheet/a thick plastic sheet grease with oil, take a medium size ball from the prepared dough
Grease your fingers with oil, tap on it, spread it to thin circle evenly.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped coriander on it, tap it gently. Heat a flat pan
Release it from the sheet, (it comes easily as the sheet and hands are greased with oil). Put it getly o the hot pan, fry it for both side, drizzle oil on both side.
Serve hot straight from the pan, Spread butter/Ghee on it. Enjoy with curds/yogurt/pickle of your choice.
Serving idea – add a pinch of cumin powder, chili powder and chaat masala powder to curd/yogurt.
