Crab curry recipe

Crab curry is a south Indian curry, easy and tasty curry which is perfect to enjoy with steamed rice. It is prepared by frying simple spices and grounded with coconut which makes a delicious curry, a great dish and easy seafood dish for the whole family.

Serves – 4
Ingredients –
Crab – 10 no’s
To grind –
Coconut – 1/2 part of a coconut/3/4 cup grated
Onion – 1/2 past of a onion
Garlic – 8-10 cloves
Tamarind – 1 marble size
Dry red chilly – 10 no’s
Coriander – 1 tsp
Cumin – 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek seeds – 1/4 tsp
Pepper – 5-6 corns
Oil to fry
For tempering –
Oil to fry
Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves – 2 springs
Onion – 1 tbs chopped
Method –
To grind –
Add oil in a pan, heat it, when it is hot add dry chilies, coriander, cumin, fenugreek and fry it in a medium flame until light brown and set aside to cool.
Add all the ingredients to grind and make a paste by adding enough water to it and keep ready.
Method to prepare crab curry –
Firstly dice the crab and wash it properly and keep it ready.
Heat oil in a vessel, when it is hot add mustard allow it to sizzle, add curry leaves and chopped onion, saute until it turns to translucent.
Add grounded paste in it, combine it by adding water to medium thick in consistency. Add salt to taste, bring it to boil for 5-6 min stir.. Boil the curry until you get a nice aroma.
Add cleaned crab in it and bring it to boil for 3 to 4 mins taste the curry. See if more salt or spice required. Switch off the gas.
Your Crab Curry is ready now. Before Serving garnish with coriander leaves. Enjoy it with steamed rice or with pao bun
