Corn mixture I Makai Poha chivda

Cornflakes mixture is very easy deep fried snack, a traditional Indian snack, It is a tasty hot and sweet namkin that can be easily prepared at home, An easy to make snack for any occasions, which can be made in a bulk/large quantity in a short time easily. A healthy and tasty snack to munch as a evening snack with a cup of tea or coffee.
Ingredients:
Corn flakes ( Makai poha flakes) not the ready to eat cereal variety – 2 cup
Peanut – 3/4 cup
Roasted gram – 1/2 cup
Cashew nut – 1/4 cup
Almond – 12 – 15 no’sĀ Optional
Raisins – 2 tsp Optional
Mustard – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves – 5 springs
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Chilly powder – 1/2 tsp adjust to your taste
Sugar – 2 tsp powdered
Salt to taste
Oil to deep fry

Method:
Keep all the ingredients handy as shown above. Heat oil in a pan to deep fry. Immerse fine sieve ladle in hot oil, once the oil is ready to deep fry, add peanuts fry until golden brown and crisp.
Stir with a spoon, once done drain the excess oil in it, put it on a plate lined with kitchen paper napkin.
Add roasted gram fry until it turns to light brown in color. Remove and set aside
Add cashew nut, almond and raisin fry until it turns to golden brown.
Fry corn flakes in batches, take care not to over crowd, add little at a time, fry by stirring with a spoon till they expand until it turns to crispy
Switch off the flame, add mustard seeds allow it to sizzle add curry leaves allow it to splutter in oil, drain the excess oil .
When the mixture is hot enough add chilly powder, turmeric, powdered sugar and salt.
Toss it gently.
Once it is cooled completely, transfer it to an air tight container.
Hot and sweet Corn mixture is ready to much with a cup of tea.
