Coriander coconut chutney recipe

Coriander coconut chutney recipe is a best healthy Indian chutney recipes to accompany rice or south Indian breakfasts like idli, dosa, pesarattu, pongal, paratha and chapati. Do try and enjoy as a side dish for rice dishes too 🙂
Preparation time – 10 min
Serves – 4
Ingredients –
Coconut – 1 cup or small part of a coconut grated
Coriander – 1 big bunch
Cumin – 1/4 tsp
Green chilly – 2 no’s (to adjust your taste)
Tamarind – (optional) adjust to your taste
Salt to taste
Method –
To make or to prepare coriander chutney –
Add coconut, cumin, chilies and salt to taste in a mixer jar and grind it to a paste by adding water
Finally add fresh coriander (washed and rinsed) and grind it to a coarse mixture.
Coriander coconut chutney is ready, transfer it to a serving bowl
Enjoy as a side dish for any south Indian dishes.
Notes –
You can add cumin or garlic for flavour to prepare coriander coconut chutney.
You can prepare chutney adding less water to grind which makes a thick chutney.
If you prefer seasoning the prepared chutney – heat 1/2 tsp of oil/ghee in a tadka pan, when it is hot add 1/4 tsp of mustard seeds allow it to splutter then add curry leaves and a pinch of powdered hing, remove it from the flame, add it to prepared chutney and mix . Seasoning chutney makes chutney more yummier.
