Chilli chicken recipe

Chilli chicken is the wonderful flavors of china have made into the heart’s in many parts of the world. Chilli chicken dry is a spicy and easy to prepare appetizer or as perfect side dish with fried rice or noodles. It tastes really yummy….
Preparation time – 15 to 20 min
Cooking time – 15 to 20 min
Serves – 5 to 6
Ingredients :
Chicken -1 kg
Onion – 2nos (medium sized )
Green chili – 10 to 12 nos ( slit into two)
Soya sauce – 2 tbs
Chili sauce – 1 tsp
Cornflour – 3 tsp
Egg – 1 (beaten)
Ginger garlic – 2 tbs (crushed)
Sugar – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil
Procedure:
Take a bowl, add egg and 2tsp corn flour to chicken pieces and mix well.
Heat oil in kadai on a high flame and deep fry the chicken pieces in a medium flame, until the colour changes, remove and keep aside. Deep fry/shallow fry chicken pieces in two or three batches.
Take a kadai add 1 tbs of oil, add green chilies, sauté for a while. Add garlic & ginger (crushed) fry till the raw smell goes.
Next add chopped onions and stir fry for 2min
Add chicken with the sauce, sugar and stir fry for a minute. Toss well so that chicken coated with sauces.
Add 1 cup of water and cover the lid for 3 to 4 minutes
Add 1 tbs of corn flour mixed with the 2 tbs of water mix well in a high flame for a minute turn off the flame and close the lid for a while.
Tasty chilli chicken is ready to eat. Transfer the dish into a serving bowl garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Note –
Heat oil and shallow fry or deep fry the chicken and drain off on the kitchen tissue.
It will taste great with boned or boneless chicken too. Make sure to cut chicken in small size pieces to prepare boneless chicken to prepare the same recipe.
You can add capsicum to prepare this recipe.
