Chicken Momos or how to make chicken momos

Chicken momos is a delicious Chinese recipe,tasty and easy to prepare which needs very less oil compared to other Chinese recipes.Learn how to make chicken momos, it is delicious recipe prepared with minced chicken,onion,cabbage carrot, soy sauce and other ingredients.

Serves – 4
Ingredients :- To prepare the dough
Maida – 500 gms
Salt to taste
Oil – 1 tsp
Water to knead.
Procedure:
Take a bowl add all the above ingredients and mix slowly by adding water the dough should be tougher ( little tougher then chapati dough). Make a dough and keep it aside for 15 min.
Ingredients to prepare a mixture for momo:
Chicken – 250 gms
Onion – 2 ( finely chopped)
Cabbage – 1 cup
Carrot – 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
Soya sauce – 1 tsp
Chili sauce – 1 tsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp (optional)
Salt to taste
Oil – 2 tsp
Procedure:
Take a kadai heat it, add oil add ginger garlic paste and fry for a while add chopped onion, cabbage carrot together fry for 30sec, add soy sauce chilli sauce mix well, add pepper powder mix it and turn off the flame allow it to cool.
Take a bowl add minced chicken and fried above ingredients and chopped coriander mix together and make a mixture and keep aside.
Divide the dough into equal parts and make a small ball as shown in the image and roll it into flat round shaped similar to poori.
Take a spoon of prepared mixture and place it in the center of it
Fold it into half press the corners tightly bring the edges together
Join each other and press again (bring both the end together and join) prepare all momos this way and keep them covered till you are ready to steam them).
Grease the steamer pan with oil arrange the momos in the pan, keeping space between them. Stem it for 10 10 12 min(you can also use idle pans or pressure cooker /electric rice cooker).
Serve hot with schezwan chutney.
