Chicken masala curry recipe

Chicken masala curry is a south Indian recipe which taste good as a side dish with rice or it is a perfect dish for poori ,roti, parata, naan or any Indian bread even it taste good with idli /dosa.This curry is simple and easy to prepare with simple ingredients.
Preparation time – 15 min
Cooking time – 20 min
Serves – 4
Ingredients –
Chicken – 1 kg
Onion – 2 medium (sliced into thin long pieces)
Garlic – 10 cloves
Ginger – 1 inch
Coconut – 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Chilly powder – 2 tsp
Coriander powder – 2 tsp
Clove – 4 no’s
Cinnamon – 2 small pieces
Salt to taste
Oil to fry
How to prepare chicken masala curry
Procedure to prepare masala for curry –
Heat a kadai add 1 tbs of oil in it ,when it is hot add onion,garlic.ginger,cloves,cinnamon fry till golden brown
Add Chilly powder,coriander powder and turmeric powder
Fry for a while and turn off the flame and allow it to cool
Take a mixer jar add coconut and fried mixture together and make a fine paste of it by adding sufficient water into it,and keep aside.
Procedure to prepare the curry –
Heat a kadai by adding 1 tbs of oil into it when oil is hot add cleaned and drained chicken pieces cook till the oil separates from it then add salt to taste.
Add grounded masala paste fry for a while till the raw smell goes
Add water bring the curry to boil and close the lid of the kadai and cook in a medium flame for 15 min
Cook till it is done and when it becomes thick stir fry and turn off the flame.
Transfer the dish to a serving dish and enjoy the curry as a side dish for rice or with any Indian bread.
