Bread toast

Bread toast is a delicious Indian recipe served as a breakfast or as an evening snack. It is a healthy yummy break fast, whether it is white or brown bread, it makes a excellent toast. Great for children’s lunch box. A mixture is prepared by adding grated carrot, onion,tomato and other species, spread on a toasted bread. It is easy and simple in preparation.
Preparation time – 10 min
Cooking time -15 min
Serves – 4 to 5
Ingredients:
Bread – 1 pound
Carrot – 250 gms (grated)
Onion – 3 medium(chopped)
Tomato – 2 nos (chopped)
Green chilies – 2 to 3 nos(stilted)
Coriander leaves – 1 bunch (chopped)
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1 tbs
Salt to taste
Oil to fry
Procedure :
Heat oil in a kadai, when oil becomes hot add mustard seeds, when they begins to crackle add green chilies, fry for a while then add chopped onion and grated carrot stir fry till it becomes soft and turns to brown in colour.
Then add coriander leaves(chopped), chopped tomatoes fry till it becomes soft
Add garam masala powder, turmeric powder, salt and sugar to taste. Mix altogether
Add 1/4 cup of water , boil till the water evaporates and the mixture is ready, keep a side.
Take a flat tawa, heat and grease it, apply slice of bread on it and toast it on both sides to golden brown in colour.Remove from the tawa, keep it on a plate and the spread the prepared mixture.
Bread toast is ready to be served.
