Bonda lime or Bonda sharbath recipe I Tender coconut with lime

Bonda lime is a popular and special drink in Mangalore,This drink is served as a welcome drink in many occasions. Bonda lime is prepared with tender coconut, lemon juice and sugar, this drink gets a great taste when the flesh (tender coconut thin pulp inside) is chopped finely and mixed with juice, It is cool, refreshing and a healthy drink, a perfect drink to have it in hot summer. Tender coconut is loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Do try and Enjoy this healthy drink for this summer.
Ingredients:
Juice of tender coconut (Bonda/elaneeru) – 1 liter
Lemon juice – 1 tbs
Sugar – Adjust to your taste
Tender coconut flesh – 1 cup chopped

Method:
1. Pour out the tender coconut water and scrap out the flesh (malai) into a vessel. Shred the coconut flesh about 2 – 3 tbs, if it is thick , mix it along with the water, add sugar, lemon juice stir until sugar dissolves completely. Or Combine 2 – 3 tbs of coconut flesh, sugar and Tender coconut water into a processor. Blend it.
2. Add fresh lemon juice (adjust to your taste) stir properly.
3. Finally add roughly chopped tender coconut flesh (malai), Refrigerate it for at least 1 hr
4. Serve into glasses, use a lemon wedge to decorate the serving glass and Enjoy chilled Bonda lime or Bonda sharbath 🙂
