Avalakki kesaribhat I Aval kesari I Poha kesari

Avalakki Kesari bath is one of the simplest and easiest sweet dish made from avalakki / poha / flattened rice, milk, sugar, ghee, cardamom powder and nuts and is very delicious and easy to make a desert. An easy to make prasad to offer God /easiest festive sweet.
Ingredients:
1 cup thick variety flattened rice
3/4 cup of sugar
2 cup of milk
Few saffron strands
1/2 cup of ghee
1/4 tsp of Elachi powder
2 tbsp Cashew nut
Few Raisin

Method:
Heat a pan and dry roast the poha for 5 minutes on a low flame. Remove them on a plate and keep aside.
In the same pan add little, when it is hot fry cashew nut and raisin and set aside
Blend poha/aval to a coarse powder to the rava consistency. Soak saffron strands in 2 tbsp of milk and set aside. Boil milk in a pan, Add milk in the Kadai, add sugar, stir until the sugar dissolves within it, make a medium flame, pour blended aval/poha, on the other hand, keep stirring continuously as there are no lumps in it, cook in a low flame.
Add soaked saffron strands along with milk and add cardamom powder, mix properly.
Add ghee and cook till it leaves the sides of the pan and does not stick to the pan. Switch off the flame. Avalakki kesaribhat/ Aval kesari is now ready to be served.
