Poha cutlet recipe

Try Healthy Poha Cutlet, an easy and yummy shallow fried crunchy cutlets made using beaten rice or Poha with mashed potato, ideal party starter, or kids snack recipe and it can be easily extended as patties for a burger or sandwich recipes.
Ingredients:
Poha (thick variety) – 1 cup soaked
Potato – 2 small or 1 big boiled and mashed
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Coriander – 1 bunch chopped
Pudina – 1 bunch chopped
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp (optional)
Green chilies – 2 no’s chopped
Ginger – 1 tsp grated
Chilly powder – 1 tsp
Dry mango powder – 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder – 3/4 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch powdered
Corn flour or gram flour – 2 tsp for binding
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying

Method:
Rinse and soak Poha for 15 mins, when it is soaked drain the water with a colander and keep ready.
Pressure cook potatoes for 3 or 4 whistle by adding 2 cups of water, once done peel and mash potatoes, and keep ready.
Add soaked Poha, mashed aloo, chopped onion, pudina, coriander, and dry spice powders, combine without adding water, add cornflour or gram flour combine well making sure dough is formed and keep ready.
prepare a small ball sized patties greasing hand with oil, now shallow fry or deep fry or pan fry in hot oil.
fry on medium flame, flipping occasionally till it turns golden brown.
Serve Poha cutlet with mint dip or tomato sauce.
