Chicken korma with coconut milk recipe

Chicken korma is a authentic side dish to serve as a side dish for Indian bread, poori’s, dosa, idli etc.. it goes good with plain steamed rice or flavored rice, a traditional south Indian side dish prepared with aromatic spices and coconut milk is the key ingredients to the recipe, by adding coconut milk makes the dish rich and delicious, just give it a try and enjoy with rice or roti’s.
Ingredients:
For marination –
Chicken – 500 gm
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Lemon juice or vinegar – 1 tsp
Salt
To fry/grind –
Onion – 1 medium chopped
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbs
Clove – 3 no’s
Cinnamon – 1 small stick
Green chili – 3 no’s
Coriander – 1 small bunch
Mint – few leaves
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1 pinch
Other ingredient –
Coconut milk – 1 cup
Onion – 1 tbs chopped
Oil – 1 tbs
Salt

Method:
Clean and rinse chicken pieces for 2 to 3 times in water, drain the water in it with a colander and keep ready, add all the ingredients to marinate, mix with the chicken pieces, refrigerate it for 3 hrs.
Prepare coconut milk and keep ready.
After marination, heat a pan by adding oil in it, when it is hot add all the ingredients to fry accept coriander powder and turmeric, fry until onion turns translucent, remove all the fried ingredients in a plate and allow the mixture to cool.
In the same pan add little oil, when it is hot add chopped onion fry until translucent, add marinated chicken into it, fry until the water in the chicken gets evaporated completely.
Meanwhile, add all the fried ingredients to a mixer jar, add coriander powder and turmeric,
blend it to a fine paste by adding enough water to grind.
Once the water in the chicken gets absorbed completely, add blended paste into it, combine to medium thick in consistency, add 1 to 1 1/2 cup of water or adjust to your consistency, cooked covered for 15 to 20 min until chicken is done,
Once the chicken is done, .
Add coconut milk, bring it to boil for 5 min. Rest it for 10 min before you serve.
Serve hot with poori’s, Idli, Dosa or goes great with Coconut rice, Ghee rice, Roti’s or enjoy with plain steamed rice.
